Chapter 1 JAMES GIVES HIS ADVICE This book is an attempt by me as a Christian and practising doctor to understand the biblical teaching on healing. God, in his grace, has given a great deal of knowledge to the medical profession. This is being used by believers and non-believers alike to alleviate suffering and cure diseases. For this we can truly thank our heavenly Father. However, in my work, I find there is so much suffering that medical treatment cannot help and people die despite the best efforts.
